Pape Matar Sarr Edges Closer to Galatasaray Transfer
Galatasaray are making significant progress in their attempt to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr. The Turkish champions have increased their offer to €20 million and are now negotiating directly with the North London club over the Senegal international’s transfer.
Tottenham are reportedly seeking €25 million for the 23-year-old, meaning the two sides remain €5 million apart in their valuation. However, Spurs’ willingness to consider a sale has encouraged Galatasaray to continue talks rather than abandon the deal.
Reports from Turkey suggest that Galatasaray have already reached an agreement with Sarr on personal terms. Why Tottenham Are Prepared to Sell Sarr

His ability to move the ball forward could also benefit Galatasaray in European competition. The club needs midfielders who can cope with pressure, recover possession and quickly turn defensive actions into attacks. Sarr’s profile fits those requirements, although he would still need time to adjust to a new league and tactical system.

The remaining obstacle is the transfer fee. Galatasaray want to complete the deal for less than Tottenham’s €25 million valuation, while Spurs are unlikely to approve a departure unless the final package reflects their assessment of the player’s potential and contract situation.
